Alabama Professor, Adam Lankford, shares the following facts about the mass shootings in the United States vs those in other countries:
-
From the years 1966-2012, the United States has the most public mass shooters and more than 240 million more guns than the second highest country, India
-
2017 was the deadliest year of mass shootings in modern U.S. history, with 345 shooting in a 365-day period
-
The U.S. had 31% of total shooters, despite the fact it only has 5% of the world’s population
-
Lankford has found that many killers have three things in common – access to high-powered guns, suicidal thoughts, and strong desires for fame
-
Desire for fame is driving the fact that killers want to emulate and outdo each other, leading to bigger headlines and more fame
-
An analysis of media coverage between 2013 and 2017 found that mass shooters earned about $75 million in media value – more than many athletes and some celebrities

Heather MacDonald, author of The War on Cops gives us some statistics on how the “Black Lives Matter” movement is a danger to solving an underlying problem.
-
Every year, approximately 6,000 blacks are murdered. This is greater than the number of white and Hispanic homicide victims combined, even though blacks are only 13% of the national population.
-
Black males between the ages of 14 and 17 commit homicide at ten times the rate of white and Hispanic male teens combined.
-
When police officers back off in high crime neighborhoods, crime shoots through the roof.
-
Murders rose nearly 17% in the nation’s 50 largest cities in 2015, and it was in cities with large black populations where the violence increased the most.
